Our Los Angeles retail location is temporarily closed until further notice in response to COVID-19

Thank you for your support and patience during this time of change as we shift our operation to align with present times.

Are we able to shop in person or by appointment?

Due to the safety precautions for our employees and customers, we are not currently open for in-person shopping. Until further notice, our products will be available for purchase on our website only.

Once we feel we can safely open to the public, we will announce our retail locations where in store shopping and services will be available.

 

Is curbside pick up available?

Yes. We offer contactless curbside pick up on all online orders. We require appointments to be made in advance of your pickup, unless otherwise noted. Please select curbside pick up instead of shipping during check out and proceed with the provided instructions to set a date and time.

Should you need to make any changes to your appointment, please visit the page titled ‘Curbside Pick-Up’ located on the top right-hand side of our website.

 

How are the SANSO ceramics made?

SANSO ceramics are designed and made in Los Angeles, California. We currently use stoneware clay for all of our pieces. All vases have a glazed interior. Each piece is hand thrown on the potter’s wheel or hand built. We fire the pieces inside our studio located in Los Angeles, CA.

 

Where do SANSO plants come from?

All our plants come from private collectors who have acquired their plant collection from various regions over the last 30-50 years.

The plants we receive from the collectors are grown directly from seed or cuttings of their parent plants which are then transported directly to us for resale.

Do you sell planters in larger sizes than what is available online?

Ceramics shown online are the only sizes we keep in stock at any time. Larger sizes are made to order and available through our custom order process. Please email us for inquiries.

Will items that were sold in your Frogtown store become available again ?

Our plant stock has always varied by season and availability from our growers, however you can expect us to continue to provide a curation of rare plants and elegant planter pairings. While availability forecast for specific plants is usually unknown, we restock our available plants on a regular basis. Should you be interested in a specific plant, we invite you to fill out our product request form and we will contact you by email once it becomes available.

We will no longer be carrying the generic white and nude planters made in Mexico and Italy which were available in our retail store. Instead, there will be more variations of SANSO planters in larger sizes as well as one of a kind pieces made to be paired with individual plants.

Are plants available for shipping?

At the moment, all of our live plants are only available for curbside pick up or delivery within Los Angeles. We are working on offering plant shipping soon and will notify our email subscribers once available.

 

Where can we buy SANSO products?

Currently we only sell our SANSO products direct to consumer from our website.

We will be partnering up with a few locations in Los Angeles to offer in-person shopping for all of our products in the near future. This is to be announced as we monitor COVID-19 safety levels.

 

Do you offer consultations on plant care and design?

Yes, we offer virtual consultations. Please email us at studio@sanso-la.com

 

Do you offer custom ceramic services?

We offer custom design and production services for private clients, design projects and brand collaboration projects.

We do not offer production services to fabricate or manufacturing for other brands.

 

Do you offer delivery?

Delivery service is available within 15 miles from our studio located in Lincoln Heights. Delivery rates will vary depending on the size of item and distance.

 

Are plants available to be purchased separately?

Plants , planters and saucers are sold separately and may be purchased alone. When plants are purchased without a ceramic planter, they will be handed to you potted in an environment friendly non-plastic biodegradable containers.

 

Do you offer repotting services?

We are happy to repot any Sanso plants into newly purchased or existing Sanso planters. Please reach out to us via email to schedule a repotting appointment and make sure to let us know if you have any specific concerns or inquiries.

Does SANSO have wholesale accounts?

Opportunities for wholesale accounts vary depending on the availability of our products. Please email us with any wholesale requests.

Do you offer design services for a home or office space?

Yes, we offer site specific plant design and installation services which is an all inclusive service providing customized curation, sourcing, installation and maintenance.

 

Will you have workshops on plant care or ceramic making?

Yes, virtual workshops on plant care, ceramic making, and other crafts are in the works to become available on our website in the coming months. Subscribe to our newsletter to be notified once these become available.
